In more real time news (again, I know I have news to catch up on still), our dear niece dog Libby passed away yesterday :( Libby was Aunt Theresa's Great Dane and she was a great dog. She had a funny personality and did what she wanted. I guess she figured since she was big enough, she would do as she pleased. But she was never annoying about it - she was always very sweet about it. And with a dog as big as her, I can honestly say I was never worried about her with the kids (except if they got in the way of her strong tail whipping about). She was a very, very sweet girl and we will miss her. Here are a few of my favorite Libby pictures. This is when Theresa first got her - she was as big as Paul!

Baby Utz!!!
I know I am a little behind in blogging at the moment, but I could not wait to catch up before sharing this news. My brother, Chris, and his lovely wife, Ginny, have welcomed their first baby into the world!!! Baby Utz (no name yet) was born last night, October 14th, and weighed in at 7 pounds, 2 ounces. Isn't he so handsome?

Congratulations!!! The kids were so excited to see the pictures and Abbey immediately asked when she could hold the baby. Luckily, we will see them at Christmas (where I am sure I will take a ton of pictures of them holding their new baby cousin). But, I will sneak in a solo trip coming up to meet the baby first! I cannot wait to get a hold of this little one! Congratulations Chris and Ginny!!!

Fall Fun
We have had a beautiful fall so far and the kids have really enjoyed it. Abbey makes it her mission wherever we go to make a leaf pile to jump in! So, after we got home from school one day the girls decided to make a big leaf pile to play in. I quickly grabbed the camera and got some really cute shots. Enjoy!

More Apple Picking Pictures!
Update...here are a few more pictures of Apple Picking that I took with my phone. I love taking pictures when we go apple picking and sadly, when we got to the orchard (which was over an hour from our house), we realized that our camera did not have the memory card in it! So Aunt Domi sent us all her pictures. But here are a few I took with my phone that turned out cute too!
Apple Picking
It's fall and you know what that means...time to go apple picking! Due to the crazy weather we had last spring and over the summer, most apple picking places were either closed for the season or had very limited picking. Unfortunately, our normal place up in Wisconsin was one of those places. So, based on a recommendation from a friend (thanks Sandy), we went to Kuipers Farm. Here are Caroline and Abbey on the hay ride out to the orchard.

Kuipers also has limited picking, so we didn't get to bring home quite as many as we normally do, but we each got a bag and filled them up as much as possible. Here is Ben having fun!
This place also had a Christmas tree farm! So the kids picked out a tree that they thought was the perfect size! We told them we weren't quite ready to bring home a tree, but it was cute!
