sell my medal?

So I have been trying to buy a 2004 Chicago Marathon poser to complete my PablitoRun sporting event hall of fame. (Otherwise known as "The Utility Closet") when I discovered a fairly thriving market for finishers' medals for this year's marathon here.

I guess the fact that the race was cancelled means a lot of people deserve a medal even though they didn't get a chance to finish. So my question is, should I sell my medal? None of the medals mean much to me except my first one that Katrina had my time enscribed on. Voting enabled at the right!!!!

2007 Chicago Marathon

Today Pablitorun ran his fourth consecutive Chicago Marathon!! For those of you who haven't heard about it, we had record high temps causing the officials to cancel the marathon about half way through. Some people were told to stop running and they actually shut off all timers and clocks. I guess too many people were being taken to the hospital so they decided to stop people from finishing if they could. One person even died. I have watched this marathon for 4 years now and I have never seen so many people drop out, walk, or just fall down in sheer exhaustion right in front of me. It was scary. Pablitorun was amazing! Although his time was slower than last year, he finished the race, which made me so proud! Like the other 45,000 runners, he was not feeling good and when we saw him at mile 12, he was talking about stopping because he felt so bad. Then he went on to work hard and finish the race!! Although I am always proud of him when he runs a marathon, I was the most proud of him today for finishing the race. It is extremely difficult to keep going for soooo many miles when you aren't feeling well, so the fact that he kept going and didn't give up was the most amazing athletic feat I have ever seem him perform. Great job!!

Well, we were happy to go down and support our favorite marathoner. You can see how excited Ben was to watch Daddy!!

Aunt Domi and Cousin Andrew came down to watch too - and look at the awesome sign they made!! Ben really liked it and Pablitorun said he encouraged him to keep going!

Unfortunately, the only picture I got was this one of Pablitorun from behind. Oh well - still looking good! (He is the one in black shorts - no shirt).
