We had Cousin Caroline over for movie night this weekend. We laid on the floor and watched Cars. Ben is a big fan of Mater.

Abbey's 4 Month Appointment
Just wanted to give everyone an update on Abbey...she is 4 months today and weighs 11 lbs. 2 oz. and is 23 3/4 inches long. That puts her in the 5th percentile for weight and 25th percentile for height. For those of you who don't know, I took her in about 10 days ago because I was worried she wasn't gaining weight and it turned out that I was right. She had actually lost 3 oz. from her last appointment (which had been 5 weeks prior to when I took her in). So the doctor told us that Abbey needed more calories (I wish a doctor would tell me to eat more calories!) and to start supplementing her with formula. After 10 days of a mixture of breastmilk and formula, she gained almost a pound! So, although she is only in the 5th percentile for weight right now, the doctor was happy with her growth. We are hoping to continue the trend so she can start to fit into her 3-6 month clothes (which is what all her winter clothes are!). Anyway, Abbey is doing great and is a very happy baby.

Happy Halloween!
You will never guess what crazy animals we had living in our house on Friday...we had a penguin...
The kids had a Halloween parade at school and Aunt Teesa came to see them both dressed up for the parade. It is very cute to see all the kids in their costumes walk around Motorola and wave hello to the people. I wish they had that where I work!
Later that afternoon, we went trick or treating around our neighborhood. Ben enjoyed going to all the houses.
And Abbey enjoyed being outside in the beautiful weather.
Of course, after so much walking, Ben needed a snack to keep going - good thing he had a lot of options to choose from!
and a ladybug!

We finally caught the penguin and ladybug together before they left our house...
Some of you may be wondering how we carved the pumpkins this year since our Elmo pumpkin last year was so creative. Unfortunately, we had a rough week and ended up short on time...but my ever creative husband carved this pumpkin and cleverly called it "Opening 401k statement!"
Happy Halloween to everyone!
