Just got back from our midway ultrasound...and it is a beautiful healthy girl!

Ben got some great new coloring books and Crayons from Mimi that he had to play with right away!

After the big celebration, Ben got some relaxing reading time in with Caroline.

Madgie and Patch came up to play with Ben on his birthday. Ben had a great time playing Legos with Madgie.

Then we had a little celebration on Ben's actual birthday (before his big party the next day). Ben can't wait to open those presents.

It's Ben's Birthday. He is the big 02.

Yesterday mom and dad went to his class to help celebrate

His first birthday present was to help Patch break up some ice on the driveway...What Fun!

Big Boy Bed!

This weekend we spent some more time getting the house ready for the new baby. This mostly involved starting to set up Ben's room.

Ben loves his big boy bed. So much so that he really wanted to sleep there for several nights even though we didn't have any covers for it!

Saturday night he finally got his chance.

He went to sleep without any problem. It was very cute, about an hour after I put him down, I went to get Chien to go outside. After we came back in, Chien ran up to Ben's new room and stood outside the door, waiting to go back and get in bed with Ben. They both slept through the night, and Ben ran into to wake us up early in the morning!

SnowStorm!!!

I don't know if I would quite call it a blizzard, but we did have quite a storm. We got about a foot over a 12 hour period.

I took a few pictures of the backyard.

No grilling any time soon.

We always let the dog run around outside in the snow, I think it is one of his favorite things. Although he is a dog, just about everything is his favorite thing.

Note this was a different storm then the pictures from below. All that snow had melted. I hate chicago...... :)

Snow play

We had another pretty big snowstorm over on Friday. We managed to get out on Saturday to have som fun in the snow.

Unfortunately it was pretty dry/fluffy snow so it wasn't the greatest for building a snowman.

Unfortunately, I am sure we will have more opportunities this year.

Go GIANTS!!!!

This was a great night to teach Ben that cheaters never win!!!, and KatrinaRun won her superbowl grid. She and I have never won one of those in 10 years of trying, so a great night all around.
