While Uncle Chris was playing with the girls...
Then Juju settled into his lap for some reading (one of her favorite activities)...
But then it was time to get the turkey frying...
Good thing Ben had on his safety goggles - it got pretty steamy!
Abbey help me set the table - these are the napkin ring holders the kids made in the week leading up to Thanksgiving. They turned out super cute I thought - the red turkey feather is Ben's finger traced, the orange is Abbey's finger traced, the yellow is Juliette's finger traced and the brown head was my finger. The kids did it entirely themselves (except I cut out most of the stuff) and were very proud of them. They kept them a surprise in a cabinet until it was time to set the table...Abbey woke up Thanksgiving morning asking if we could set the table yet!
Papa and Juju...
While the girls waited for dinner, they drew in their new notebooks from Aunt Ginny...
They also really liked asking Aunt Ginny to draw princesses in their notebooks, which she was really good at doing!
We had a wonderful feast that included a baked and fried turkey, homemade stuffing and gravy, cranberry relish, green bean casserole, rolls, mashed potatoes, apple pie (made from apples we had picked) and pumpkin pie (made from pumpkins we grew in our garden). I was quite stuffed!
