Charge for CHARGE

This weekend we participated in the inaugural Joshua Kurby Charge for CHARGE 5k! Well, I should say certain family members participated - Daddy ran the race (got 4th overall and 1st in his age group), Aunt Theresa and Aunt Domi ran the race with Abbey in the jogging stroller, and Mommy got to play with Ben and Caroline and cheer on our fantastic runners! This was a very fun event and we were so happy to take part in it. As you may recall, we lost our dear friend Josh Kurby (who was 4 days older than Abbey) when he was only 8 months old to CHARGE syndrome. His parents have been activists for the CHARGE community both while Josh was alive and possibly even more so after he passed. This will be an annual event with all proceeds benefiting the CHARGE foundation. We look forward to participating every year - and hopefully next year the whole family can join the race! Unfortunately, our camera was out of batteries, so I have no pictures to share, but wanted to write about it anyway. Well done Sandy - it was a huge success!
