This is how Juliette fished later in the afternoon...
But then she caught one!
Daddy got a chance to water ski...what a stud puffin!
While Abbey rested on the boat - being at the lake can be tiring!
We went blackberry picking. The first night Juliette, Mama Kay and Hunter made a delicious blackberry pie with all the blackberries they picked. The next day, we made blackberry jam. Luckily, Mama Kay had some canning jars and we were able to bring it home with us...yum!
We did lots of swimming (or holding onto Mommy)...
And lots of relaxing...
Abbey finally got in the canoe...I'm not sure how Aunt Domi would have gone on a canoe ride without Abbey's help rowing...
And I was even able to convince Juliette to come in the canoe with me and she immediately wanted to help rowing too!
Fun girls canoe trip!
Abbey got on the water ski float. She wouldn't go behind the boat, but she did it off the dock with Mama Kay pulling her in. I bet she will do it before Ben will.
Ben was happy to do it off the dock too, but mention the boat and he practically jumped off the float into the water!
On the last night, Mama Kay surprised me with some birthday cupcakes and candles!
It was a very quick trip, but very fun. We love visiting the lake and couldn't let the summer pass by without making a trip down, even if it had to be short. Thank you so much Mama Kay and Papa - we had a blast!
