Saturday afternoon we had to dye eggs for the Easter Bunny to hide. The kids enjoyed mixing the colors together and coloring the eggs. Ben especially got a kick out of putting the eggs in, checking on them, and then taking them out for all to see.
Abbey accidentally cracked one of the eggs, so Paul peeled it for her to eat. After that, she started to break another one saying "Open it Daddy, eat it", so after that, she was not allowed to dye any more eggs.
Juliette just enjoyed watching all the commotion.
The final products!

Pre-Easter Egg Hunt
The day before Easter, our Church had a blessing of Easter baskets and an Easter egg hunt, so we decided to check it out this year. Aunt Teesa came too and look who they all got to meet!
Here are the kids getting ready to hunt for eggs.
And after the hunt, with their baskets and found eggs.
It was a pretty crazy egg hunt - kids running around like crazy. There were a few times when we were pointing out an egg to Abbey and she was only a few inches away from it when some other kid would run up and grab it. After this happened a few times, I got defensive and told another kid to leave it because she was going to get it. Sad that I have to point that out to kids. But all in all, it was fun. Later on, the kids needed some downtime, so Abbey decided to read a story to Juliette.

Family Field Museum Fun!
On Good Friday, we decided to use our membership and take a trip to the Field Museum with the cousins and Mama Kay and Papa. Here are Caroline, Ben, Abbey and Andrew.
Abbey had a great time, but was EXHAUSTED by the end. She did a lot of running around!

On the way home, Ben asked to ride the train. So we dropped Ben and Daddy off at the train station and met them back out in the burbs. Ben was super excited to ride the train again. Here they are running to meet us at the station.
Mama Kay and Papa visit!
Well, for those of you who don't know, I finally decided to quit my job and stay home full time with the kids. It was a big decision, but I am really excited about it. This was our first week at home and it went really well. Luckily for us, Mama Kay and Papa came up to visit this week and they brought Caroline over one day. Since the weather was so nice, we took the chance to go to our favorite park. Look at Ben on those monkey bars!

I can sit!!
Look who can sit all by herself!! I can now walk away from her and she will stay sitting. She has been very close for a while, but in this past week, she really started doing it on her own. Except, I have discovered that I can't actually walk away from her if Abbey is around. Abbey has found a new source of entertainment recently...she gently pushes Juliette over and then sits on top of her (Juliette obviously does not like this). As a result, Abbey has since been introduced to the "naughty chair". Oh goodness!
