Summer Backyard Fun

Well with the temps hot in Chicago, we took advantage and got out some of our backyard water toys! New to the collection this year is a slip and slide! The kids had a lot of fun with it (as did I a few times). Here is Ben showing Juliette how it is done.

Abbey was a little young for it - she couldn't quite run and throw herself down on the slide, which is hard to do. But by the end she was just running down and slipping on her own, which was just as much fun.

All 3 of them enjoying it.

And look at our beautiful rose bush.

And there is always good quiet reading time. Juliette loves when Ben reads to her (and Ben loves it too)!
